| ...Enjoy the magic of wood! |
The organizers of the 2012 Glengarry Wood Fair and Wood Auction, held on Saturday 25th of August in Dunvegan, wish to thank their partners: the Glengarry Pioneer Museum, which hosted the event; SD&G Certified Forest Owners Inc.; Boisés Est enr.; and especially our event sponsors Scotiabank and Lee Valley Tools.
They also thank the exhibitors, demonstrators, artisans, artists and volunteers who made the event a great success; the media; and the community, whose continuing support clearly justifies the effort involved in staging the fair.
Last but not least, they gratefully acknowledge the financial support of the other Wood Fair’s sponsors listed in the column on the right.

The Wood Fair is a joint venture of the Glengarry Pioneer Museum, the Stormont Dundas and Glengarry Certified Forest Owners Inc. and Boisés Est.
Wood has been a huge ingredient in the lives of pioneers and the shaping of this country. The Glengarry Wood Fair and Wood Auction showcases all aspects of forestry and the crafting of wood products, then and now. Discuss tree planting and woodlot management with forestry professionals, or watch demonstrations of the wood arts from turning and carving to timber framing and chainsaw operating. Travel back in time and view the Glengarry Pioneer Museum's collection of antique wood handling and crafting tools.
The Wood Fair has three primary objectives:

The Glengarry Pioneer Museum is a beautiful backdrop for the event; situated in the rural hamlet of Dunvegan, the museum is home to 10 heritage log and timber frame buildings - a reminder of the importance wood has played in our history, with the Wood Fair as a demonstration of its continued importance to Canada's identity.
